    Starter generators for 300

Almost time to do the starter generators (800hrs) on the 300. Does anyone have thoughts on the tradeoffs other than cost between new SGs vs OH exchange SGs?

Are they both as likely to make it through the next 800hrs?

    Thanks!

I am not on EEC. EEC only covered overhaul exchange. I'm going overhaul exchange anyway but figured I would ask if anyone knew what the reliability difference was.

Had an in flight failure of gen2 yesterday. Was challenging to get the parts quickly but everyone worked together and got it all fixed in less than 24hrs. If anyone has questions about unscheduled generator failures, feel free to DM me.

How many hours on the gen? Was it the overhauled unit that failed?

750hrs at the time it failed. Both generators were the originals with 2019 build dates. They were replaced with overhauled units with earlier build dates.
