Hello,
I recently had a GIA replaced and was not able to do the chart unlock at the time. My question is, how is the unlock procedure done? Is this something I can do? I have both Jepp charts and SVS, but for some reason, after the replacement, the SVS is available, but the charts are not.

You need to have the physical Jepps unlock card from Garmin and your MX needs to run through the unlock procedure. (I don't know what it is).

If you don't know where the card is, I think MX can work with Garmin on procuring another one (at a cost of course).

Call your maintenance provider. They may be able to walk you through it.
However, if something gets messed up, they'll have to do a full reload of the Garmins.
