    Overflight Permits

    Hello all,

My Overflight Permit has expired and I’m having no luck getting it renewed. No return phone calls and no response to emails. Anybody have a contact with CBP that might can help?

    Thanks,

Yes, several email and voice messages this week. No response. Kinda worried about her. She’s usually very quick to respond.

    Hi (Username Protected),

On my renewal this year, Eric Rodriguez, who works with Diana helped me. Here's his contact info:

What is the process to obtain one? Reading the terms and conditions, I see options with passengers already listed within an existing overflight exemption; or with passengers not listed within an existing overflight exemption. Is the exemption granted to both and aircraft and passengers, or is it typically granted with the ability to bring anyone on the plane as long as you file an eAPIS. They also ask me to describe your need for an overflight permit. Do I just say safety, as I'd like to be able to file to other airports in SoCal (e.g SNA or VNY) coming up from Mexico rather than have to stop at Brown Field in San Diego?

My understanding is it’s issued to the aircraft.

In the past it was a form 442 that is now a form 442a but I haven’t been able to locate. Mr. Rodriquez listed above emailed me last week and asked for operator name, my contact info, etc. and my previous permit number. But I need it today and haven’t gotten it yet so I’ll be stopping at FPR.

Its pretty sweet not having to stop at first point of entry if you can. It’s all on me that mine expired.
