Intro
Hello all and Happy New year,
As of yesterday I'm the happy new owner of a Phenom 100 s/n 271. It is an import from Europe so we still have a few weeks before I can start training in it.
My wife and I have owned several aircraft over the years, Archer, Saratoga, 414, KA 300, C560 and a Premier. I have flown all of them to the tune of about 3,000.
Professionally I''m a reformed entrepreneur now mostly retired. We are blessed with two sons who are turning into wonderful young men (we started late even though we have been married for 40 years) and we fly primarily for pleasure and charity.
Based in the Orlando area.
Looking forward to learning as much as I can from your experiences flying these birds, and hope to become a productive member of the community .

First and foremost mission type. As a retiree most of my trips will be 1-2 hours to a beach.
Second being 6’3” and 300 lbs. (rugby player in a previous life) it eliminated the CJ line from consideration. I did look at Mustangs but coming out of a Premier and an Ultra before that they just seemed too light. Other than those I didn’t see anything else that was single pilot that was attractive. Ease of operation and positive reviews sealed the deal. -

01-22-2025, 10:15 AM #13Welcome, if you flew a premier, your transition will be an easy one and you will burn a lot less fuel.
Regarding parts i would like to say whole lot less, but the jury could be still out on that one.
If you are ever in need of great maintenance i highly recommend Chris Grinnell at Aerostar in Dallas,
service and very reasonable pricing are outstanding. -

(Username Protected),
Congrats on the new purchase. Just a thought because you are a tall guy like me...Several owners I know have done the left seat modification. It is quite reasonable in price. Basically it takes away about 6 inches from the narrow shelf behind the left seat and you get longer seat rails. What a difference!!! The seat goes back so far that you don't even need to step over the center console getting in or out of the left seat. It is an exponential increase in comfort. I am in Naples at the Jet Center and basically your neighbor as far as jets are concerned. Reach out!

Thank you (Username Protected). Steve Whiting was kind enough to let me sit in his modified Phenom. Once I sat in it I knew that my contorsionist days are over. I will take it over to Naples to have it done. For now it is at Steven’s having SBs being done to have it “imported” and I’m overseas in Europe.
