Hi (Username Protected) - perhaps more important, WHAT is the failure that is calling for this need or replacement. We should get a Committee together and help each other. I am told that there is a minor scheme going on in attempt to hide the underlying breakdown here, and that across the entire fleet there is a major infection, that PPG (the OEM) is working hard to not disclose, which has affected many other Jet OEM's (beside Embraer) that all source their windshields from PP&G as a SOLE SOURCE. Did you know this?

Well, ours has been in repair and AOG for over TWENTY-FIVE trips to the factory and the Service Center, and we have lost MANY MANY MONTHS of flights. The last promise was for September '23, and after monthly slippages, the latest delivery was expected to be May '23, and now they won't even give a delivery date any more. This is SERIOUS! I’m having similar here with order times. It’s a windshield heater fail plus just an old wind screen in general. It’s unfortunate because the owners had a windshield in stock, but were told they didn’t need it at the time and sent it back to be stocked.

The failure of the RH Windshield in this case is a 2021 Phenom 300E with less than 500 hrs TT. Windshield failed in September and Embraer indicated the wait for a replacement could be as long as April 2025! My owner would like to know if a class action is planned?
