For those who have not filed an APIS manifest through eAPIS in the last few days, CBP has changed the text in the “Notification of Receipt of Transmission” email which is transmitted when APIS is received by CBP. Attached is the new text from the DEPARTURE and ARRIVAL manifest submissions. The new text brings a little more clarity to what CBP is expecting from operators regarding a number of topics including:

• Departure time tolerances and changes to departure time
• That this email is NOT permission to land
• Obtaining permission to land
• Pre-Clearance in Shannon, Ireland or Oranjestad, Aruba
• Pre-Inspection in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI)
