Overnight parking in Liberia, Costa Rica (MRLB) restricted

For those who did not receive our email blasts or Instagram alerts, the airport authority at the Liberia, Costa Rica (MRLB) airport is beginning an expansion project of the General Aviation ramp. Overnight parking for General Aviation aircraft will be prohibited after May 31, 2023 until the project is completed. During this time only “drop-offs” or “pick-ups” will be allowed. In order to overnight in Costa Rica, the crew will have to reposition the aircraft to another airport in Costa Rica and unless you obtain an internal transit permit, you will be limited to one of the other 3 international airports in Cost Rica: San Jose-Santamaria (MROC), San Jose-Pavas (MRPV) or Limon (MRLM). Remember, ground handling is mandatory in MROC and MRLB.

    Hi (Username Protected),

At the moment, there are NO RESTRICTIONS on overnight parking in Grand Cayman (MWCR). However, SLOTS and mandatory handling are still required. There have been restrictions in the past so it is always a good idea to check NOTAMs and check with the handler you plan to use to ensure that there will be no unpleasant surprises for the dates of your trip.
