iOS app: Operational Landing Distance calculator

    Hello everyone,

I put together a simple landing distance calculator iOS app for the Phenom 100 using the data published at the end of last year. Anyone interested in trying it out? Send me your email, and I'll add you to the Test Flight group.

It works as an iPhone app and also fits nicely next to ForeFlight so you can put in numbers.

Apple approved the app today, much faster than I expected! Feel free to try it out.

It was a quick weekend project (and a fun excitement to see how much ChatGPT could do, which is a fascinating story in itself). So don’t let your expectations get too high.

Thoughts welcome. And a big thank you to the TestFlighters that tried it out!

It’s just for the operational landing distances added to the QRH and AFM at the end of the year. I think the factored distances are still just simple factors of the dry runway.

Yes, 1.67 times the dry runway. But, it would be nice to see in the app as a reference.

If I can get an excel file with the distances, I could add it.

That would help any Part 135 Operator ensure Regulatory Compliance. Thank you.

Great app (Username Protected). I put it into my runway overrun prevention presentation yesterday at EJOA. Everyone loves it. Thank you so much for making it free.

Hi (Username Protected), great app, easy to use. Some feedback, which engine data did you use for the P300 as the performance numbers are different between the E and E1 engines.
I don’t fly the P100 however I think there is also a difference between the 100 and the 100EV.

Hi (Username Protected) - This is a wonderful tool you put together! I'm a former P300 driver based at KSJC, now flying a Praetor 500. But (Username Protected) let's me still hang out on Phenom Pilots ;-) If I sent you the Praetor OLD data, is there a chance that it would be easy for you to add it to the app? If so, maybe we can connect 1:1 and figure out the best format, etc?

I checked in with ForeFlight about OLD support for the Praetors now that the raw data is available, and they told me that they intended to introduce support "within weeks" as part of their runway analysis option.

I didn't ask about the Phenoms, but given the much larger market and similar new data availability, I'd have hope they add that support soon too.

(Username Protected) the app now supports the 300, there is a toggle at the top of the screen.
