Aircraft registration now good for seven years!

As reported by NBAA, the FAA is extending our aircraft registration expiration dates from three years to seven years - not 'quite' in effect yet, but will be official once published in the federal register.

Here is a direct quote from the FAA draft rule:
"This amendment will apply to all new Certificates of Aircraft Registration issued after the effective date of this rule and Certificates of Aircraft Registration valid on the date this rule becomes effective."

The direct final rule extends the duration of aircraft registration certificates from three to seven years, and will help drive convenience and efficiency for business aircraft owner.
