You mean the actual seats, not just look-alike leather covers?
Yes, I'd love them - the nicer aesthetic for starters, but the big plus to me is the hide-away arm rest, plus leg rests.
The real question is... how much?

Exactly my thoughts here. (Username Protected), any idea how much more these seats weigh versus the original seats? I know they are heavier.

For me it comes down to the cost. $25k per seat or less = $150k it is interesting. At $50k/seat too pricey.

I understand that the high price is because you need to change the anchoring points on the aircraft as well, not just the seats.

They're expensive! Prior to now this was not an option. But now it is.
I can't pinpoint a Phenom300 model year to avoid, but can tell you the biggest complaint prior to introduction of the "E" model; seats. A number of people have traded in their Phenom300 for an "E" model and not sure they would have done that if these seats were not part of the improvement package. I had the opportunity to perform the acceptance on a very loaded one in December 2020 and WOW, they really are nice! This gave me the chance to closely look at all the upgrades, and there are many, but these seats are the most dramatic upgrade in the Phenom300E.

(Username Protected) did they officially come out with the E seat upgrade? I have not seen any details on it.

Yes, you'll need to request an SB Proposal.

Exactly, they need to change the rails on which the seats are attached. But I know that Embraer is working on an alternative that has "most" of the 300E seat upgrades, but which would not need rail modification. This option, however, is not yet available... stay tuned.

I've gotten a quote for an SB Proposal for one of my clients already. It's available, but the SB hasn't been issued yet. I've looked into this in great detail. There two workscopes: one in which you modify existing rails or the second in which you install replacement rails with larger hardware. Neither workscope is very difficult. The only thing holding us back is acquisition of the seats and certification.

    Guessing the SB is SB505-25-0048?
Would love to get an estimated cost but now that it's published I guess I can just ask any SC.

I looked through the SB this evening "INSTALLATION OF DNA SEATS". The SB is only effective for one serial, #239, so far.

About 90 man-hours for the modification. Have any one heard a cost estimate yet?

Like a lot of SBs for optional upgrades I'm sure this one where you need to pay Embraer to get added to the list...

The attached pdf was emailed out by Embraer today. I have asked my SC for a quote. I am guessing $300k for the 6 seats.

That is even higher than I was quoted in February. Prior to February, a number of people have asked, what would it take to refurbish my seats to bolster the cushioning in a way that will allow the armrest to hide away or step up to the Phenom300E seats? I love to customize things and most often my projects do not result in a good return on my investment, but pure satisfaction during my use of it. During most of 2020, I sought to properly answer the seat question in a way that you can make an educated decision.

Changing the shape of original seat cushion to built a slot for the armrest is not an option due to certification of the seats. Installing these DNA seats is now an option but extremely expensive and will probably not increase the net value of your aircraft enough to get you a return on your investment. The delta to apply this SB, customize your interior & exterior paint vs. selling your Phenom300 and buying a Phenom300E is significantly different. However, not many other aircraft flying have another seat certified of such significant difference that you 100% know will fit well (good isle spacing, window spacing, fore-aft spacing).

Its not just about changing the seats out, but it replaces the seat tracks as well. It quoted at 100man hours, but as all SB manhour estimates, it will probably run higher. It will add 33lbs to your aircraft as well

I was quoted $475k to $520k for six seats depending on options, ~4 months for SB and 6 mo for parts. Not doing it this year because I have the 10-year event expenses, but maybe in future since its "only" ~15% of the cost for me to upgrade to a used E model. Of course, I don't think it improves the residual value much.

The new seats are only 33 lbs heavier in total than original seats?
