Proposed AD for P300 Aileron Servo Retaining Bolt Corrosion

The FAA today published a notice of proposed rule making for an AD prompted by an occurrence of corrosion on the clutch retaining bolt of the aileron autopilot servo mount.

ANAC came out with this AD in March of 2023, it was expected that the FAA would follow.

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Embraer S.A. (Embraer) Model EMB–505 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by an occurrence of corrosion on the clutch retaining bolt of the aileron autopilot servo mount. This proposed AD would require repetitively replacing the clutch retaining bolt and washer of the aileron autopilot servo mount, as specified in an Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) AD, which is proposed for incorporation by reference (IBR). The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products
Embraer came out with an SB covering this issue (SB505-22-0004 - Replacement of the Aileron Servo Assembly Bolt) and shared more information at EOC.
