    IS&S Autothrottle Offered For Citations And Phenoms

    Versions of an aftermarket autothrottle system developed by Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) for Text(Username Protected) Aviation Beechcraft King Airs and the Pilatus PC-12 will be offered for retrofit on the Cessna Citation CJ series starting in 2022, with follow-on availability on the Embraer Phenom 100/300 family.

    No, that will require a first-party auto-throttle plus automatic braking and big Garmin avionics updates. If autoland ever comes it's unlikely to be a retrofit (and certainly not using a 3rd party autothrottle).

    Well maybe when Honda Jet releases the 2600 with auto-throttles and auto-brakes maybe Embraer will finally get these items implemented!

    I would really like auto-brakes more then auto-throttle. I don't know why, but I just can't get the hang of the sudden brake grab on the 300!

    The IS&S Autothrottle works great on the Eclipse Jet. It is very handy for single pilot operation especially in a busy terminal area with speed assignments. Great for staying below 250Kts below 10,000' too.

    Phil -- it's called the HondaJet 2600 because that's the year this moonshot airplane will be certified. Just sayin'

    Exchanged emails with IS&S regarding the auto throttle, looks far away for the Phenom, this is the reply: This Program is being discussed and as of yet a schedule has not been defined for the certification.
