I thought Eagle Creek was looking into BDL but haven't heard anymore on the topic. It could be that COVID has prevented them from moving on that opportunity.

Dumb Question #1 - Do you need to use an authorized service center to use EEC Std or Enhanced coverage? If not, do they make it a hassle to get coverage?
Dumb Question #2 - If the answer #1 is no, what is the advantage of using an "authorized service center"?

Interstate Turbine at KCHS is servicing P300s as there are several in the greater Charleston area; they are a good shop. I'd prefer to let them do some of the minor maintenance such as swapping out brakes, wheels, etc. To the best of my knowledge they aren't working on P100s as there isn't enough local business to justify the training and maintenance manual expense.

Any owner/operator can order parts under EEC via eParts or Contact Center. You can send a letter to Contact Center authorizing a non-service center to order parts on your behalf. EEC Enhanced labor coverage only applies to authorized service centers as far as I can recall.

Primarily that the staff is trained (has done the job before) and has access to the manuals and proper support equipment. You may need to supply the AMM etc if you go a third party shop. There are some great non-service center shops such as Aero Star Aviation that specialize in the Phenom.
