I can confirm 7 'leading to an unannounced asymmetrical loss of normal brake system...', with 8 much better!

Regarding flash of Brake Fail (or Anti-Skid) fail as (Username Protected) referenced above, here's a prior thread where (Username Protected) shared the service letter. As he said, basically it's a known issue and if extinguishing within 30 seconds, disregard. My observation is that it comes on occasionally right after staring engines (and/or disconnecting GPU) https://www.phenompilots.org/threads...ll=1#post57431

I had BCU-8 installed in April of 2021. It's a noticeable improvement from 7 - much better lateral stability.

I have BCU - 07 and was just told that the SB -0019 was grayed out on my tech pubs and SB-0020 was current and that my Phenom wasn't eligible for the BCU-08 upgrade. Embraer is looking into this because I believe it should be covered or am I missing something? They said I would have an answer tomorrow...

    Apparently, -07 wasn't well received.
    Hope this helps.

I would consider this a safety issue and insist on it.

They found the assymetrical brake by my reports and fdr. Doing c(Username Protected)wind landing with bcu7 when landing 1 wheel than other, the bcu seems to
Interpret that you are skiding and do not release hyd pressure to other wheel brake.

IMO if you have bcu 7, update to bcu 8.

If you still with bcu6 keep it, that is much better than 8. At least you command your brakes instead of the embraer engineers.

    Hi (Username Protected),
    Thanks for your comments.
We missed upgrading SB500-32-0020, but we still have BCU6 and we are satisfied.
